These Kim Welch pictures are provided by the Golf Channel and come from Welch's participation in Big Break: Kaanapali. BBK was the ninth season of the popular Golf Channel "reality competition" TV series The Big Break.
At the time Big Break Kaanapali aired, Welch played on the Futures Tour, the developmental tour that feeds into the LPGA. In later years Welch would earn LPGA Tour membership.
And you could say Welch had a pretty good run on Big Break Kaanapali (which was taped in Hawaii): She wound up as the series winner.
To see what tournament exemptions she earned with that victory, and how she fared in those exemptions, see our article, How Big Break Champions Have Fared In Exemptions Earned on the Show.

While at Washington State University, Welch won 11 times and posted nearly 30 Top 10 finishes.
Welch turned pro in 2005. In 2007, she made 15 of 19 cuts on the Futures Tour. Her appearance on Big Break Kaanapali followed.
Kim Welch became known during her time on Big Break Kaanapali for a fondness for bandanas, scarves and other colorful attire. That's on display in the photo above.
